McCallie School
McCallie is an all-boys school in Chattanooga, Tennessee, that has been inspiring boys and building men since 1905. McCallie blends a commitment to academic excellence with a passion for helping boys develop their spiritual foundation and character, helping them become men of honor. We are built for boys from the ground up, and everything we do is built to meet boys' unique needs as they learn and grow, ranging from a later daily start time allowing them to get more rest to our “4th meal” after evening study hall.
McCallie’s academic program is designed to challenge students while helping them build the skills, talents, and mindsets to thrive in today’s classroom and beyond. We place equal importance on academic achievement and character development. McCallie fields teams in 15 varsity sports, many more at the JV and 9th grade levels and offers over 60 different afternoon activity options outside of interscholastic sports. Our arts program provides students with a range of opportunities, and some of our more popular arts programs include filmmaking, vocal & instrumental music, graphic design, and 3D Art.
McCallie sits on 160 acres on Missionary Ridge overlooking downtown Chattanooga. We are 10 minutes from the Chattanooga airport, and transportation can be easily arranged to the Atlanta & Nashville airports (2 hours away). McCallie’s outstanding weekend activity and outdoor programs take advantage of our location to offer students opportunities for fun and adventure. Some of our more unique facilities include our filmmaking lab & studio, science and engineering building, indoor tennis & golf centers, and our new rowing facility.
