Asheville School
Founded in 1900, Asheville School is one of the few remaining true small boarding schools in America. This is a nurturing community, where our 293 students and our faculty genuinely know one another--thanks to family-style seated meals, senior chapel talks and century old traditions.
We are 80% boarding and 20% day, with 80% of faculty living on campus as well. Asheville School has 19 interscholastic teams that compete over three seasons. We also offer Mountaineering, Equestrian, Technology, Music, Drama, Art, and Dance.
One hundred percent of Asheville School graduates are accepted to college, and 100% of students work 1:1 with a college counselor who supports, informs and encourages students and their families as they navigate the exciting, complex and ever-changing world of college admissions. The majority of Asheville School graduates attend colleges and universities Barron's rates as "highly selective" or "most selective." This fall we have welcomed back both boarding and day students, and offer campus visits most weekdays and some Saturdays.
